The Scottish Government is working in partnership with East Renfrewshire Council and Mactaggart & Mickel to deliver 'successful places'.
The Polnoon project will not only deliver new, high quality housing for Eaglesham, but create a vibrant new neighbourhood based on the needs of people, not vehicles.
Mactaggart & Mickel has submitted a planning application for a select development in the picturesque village of Eaglesham bordering the east of Kirkton Moor Road and north of Moor Road. This development will provide a mix of 102 family homes, and hopes to provide the first significant new residential development in the village for several years.
The partners have been working as one project team and it marks a new approach to turning 'good policy advice' into 'development on the ground'.
The core group working on this initiative is the Scottish Government, the Roads, Planning and Transportation service of the council, Mactaggart & Mickel, architects Proctor & Matthews, as well as representatives from EDAW (landscape designer), WSP (engineer) and Waterman Boreham (transport).
