DM Hall Chartered Surveyors has introduced the John H Young Annual Bursary at the University of Glasgow, aimed at supporting the next generation of real estate professionals.
Targeted at students on the University’s MSc Real Estate programme, the initiative both celebrates a professional legacy and invests in future talent. The course equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills required for careers across property valuation, real estate investment, development and strategic management, preparing graduates for an increasingly interconnected global market.
A key feature of the MSc Real Estate is its accreditation by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), providing a recognised pathway towards chartered status and enabling graduates to build careers with international reach.
The John H Young Annual Bursary is worth £500 and is open to eligible entrants to the MSc Real Estate programme. It is intended to help students seize the opportunities available within the profession.
Applicants must submit three items: an up-to-date CV; a personal statement of no more than 350 words outlining their aspirations and future ambitions; and confirmation of enrolment on an eligible programme. Completed applications should be emailed as directed in the official announcement.
The application window opens at 9am on Monday, 26 October 2026, and closes at 5pm on Monday, 9 November 2026. Submissions received outside these times will not be considered, so candidates are encouraged to prepare in advance and apply within the stated period.
