A major planned maintenance scheme has begun across East Renfrewshire, with 190 council homes set to receive new kitchens in the first year of works.

The initiative is part of East Renfrewshire Council's longer-term investment in its housing stock. Approximately 300 kitchens are due to be replaced during the initial two-year contract, and, if extended, the programme could total up to £3 million over four years, enabling further upgrades.

The contract is being delivered by CCG Asset Management, the in-house planned maintenance division of CCG Group. The scope includes full replacement of kitchen units and worktops alongside new vinyl flooring, to be carried out within a 16-week programme.

East Renfrewshire Council Environment Convener, Councillor Danny Devlin, said: "We're investing significantly in our council homes over 2026/27; highlighting our commitment to providing our tenants with high-quality, safe homes. This contract is testament to that, and we're delighted to be working with CCG on the install of new kitchens, helping to enhance nearly 200 homes across East Renfrewshire."
