Fife Council is continuing work to improve the footpaths on Woodmill Road in Dunfermline.

The next phase will require four-way temporary traffic lights at the roundabout with Garvock Bank from Monday 7 September to Friday 18 September 2026.

Woodmill Road is a busy route linking the east of Dunfermline with the city centre, so drivers should expect slower traffic and possible delays. Please allow extra time for your journey.

Access for residents and emergency services will be maintained wherever possible. Pedestrian access will be managed safely throughout the works.

The programme includes removing the existing footpath, carrying out ironwork repairs, and resurfacing the footpath.

Temporary traffic management will be in place, with four-way temporary lights at the Garvock Bank roundabout. The lights will be removed on Friday 11 September and reinstated on Monday 14 September.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4.00pm. If necessary, some evening and weekend work may take place. All roadworks are weather dependent and may be rescheduled.

Efforts will be made to ensure deliveries and bin collections continue wherever possible.
