Inchgarth Community Centre has opened a significant extension to boost capacity and respond to growing demand, marked by an official ceremony attended by Aberdeen City Council's Co-Leaders and local residents.

The centre celebrated the completion of its expansion, undertaken to accommodate increased use of services and activities.

At a ceremony on Saturday (22 August), Aberdeen City Council Co-Leaders Councillors Ian Yuill and Christian Allard joined members of the community to mark the end of construction.

Aberdeen City Council Co-Leader Councillor Ian Yuill said: "Inchgarth Community Centre is at the very heart of its local community. It is wonderful to see the new extension now open.

"From community groups and learning to events and sports, these new facilities will help to welcome more people through the doors and provide what local residents need."

Aberdeen City Council secured £1.9million from the Scottish Government’s Regeneration Capital Grant Fund in June 2023 to support the project, with work beginning in April 2025.
