Aberdeenshire Council is inviting feedback on its draft Strategic Housing Investment Plan (SHIP), which sets out proposals that could deliver over 2,200 homes across the area in the next five years.
The programme outlines the potential development of high-quality, energy-efficient affordable housing between 2027 and 2032 across all parts of Aberdeenshire.
Homes would include social housing delivered by the council or housing associations, mid-market options with rents below the private sector, and opportunities for affordable home ownership.
Alongside Aberdeenshire Council, delivery of the SHIP would involve partners such as housing associations, the Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership, the Scottish Government, the development industry and landowners.
Residents can view the draft plan and the indicative number of properties before taking part in the consultation, which should take around five minutes and is open until Friday 4 September.
Full details can be found on the council's Engage platform at: bit.ly/SHIP2732
Paper copies of the survey can also be printed at any Aberdeenshire Council public library.
