BEAR Scotland, working on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to resurface two locations on the A82 at Rannoch Moor.
The programme will run between 7pm and 6am from the evening of Sunday 26 July until the morning of Tuesday 25 August. No works will take place on Friday or Saturday nights.
For safety, traffic will be managed by temporary signals and a 10mph convoy during working hours. Outside these hours the road will fully reopen, though a 30mph limit will remain as vehicles travel over a temporary surface.
Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained throughout the scheme.
Relevant stakeholders have been consulted about the planned traffic management arrangements.
Euan Burnett, BEAR Scotland’s North West Planned Maintenance Manager said: “This resurfacing on the A82 will address existing defects in the road surface and upgrade road markings, greatly improving the quality and safety of this section of the route for road users.
“Safe completion of the works is our top priority and we thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance.”
