Kier has been appointed to the new YORhub YORbuild Major Works 2 framework, worth £1.5bn, enhancing its capacity to deliver major public sector projects across Yorkshire and the Humber, the North East and neighbouring areas.

The framework provides access to substantial building schemes for eligible public and third sector organisations in Yorkshire and the Humber, as well as the North East of England, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and parts of Leicestershire.

Targeting projects valued at more than £10m, the framework spans a wide range of activities, including new-build and refurbishment, contractor-led design, decarbonisation programmes, maintenance works and term contracts.

Previous iterations have supported Kier’s regional pipeline. Recent schemes delivered through YORhub frameworks include the Emily Siddon Building, one of the UK’s first Community Diagnostic Centres located on a university campus, and the new visitor hub at Rother Valley Country Park.
