Glasgow’s Dundashill Regeneration Masterplan has been named Best Homes and Communities and overall event winner at the RTPI Scotland Awards for Planning Excellence 2026, following a submission by Glasgow City Council.
Situated in the north of the city, the first two residential phases of the mixed-use masterplan have turned a former distillery site into a vibrant, sustainable neighbourhood.
Together, these phases deliver more than 160 mixed-tenure homes built by CCG (Scotland). They include the 90-home Platform 3 for West of Scotland Housing Association — Scotland’s largest Passivhaus development — and the multi-award-winning Maltings Wynd, led by igloo Regeneration, which incorporates a range of environmental features that make its 78 private homes among the most sustainable delivered in the city region in recent years.
Top-scoring entries from the nations and regions now progress to national judging by the Royal Town Planning Institute, competing within their categories for places on the national finalist list. The four direct-to-national categories are also assessed to complete the 16-category shortlist.
National finalists will be announced on 7 October, with winners celebrated at a ceremony in London on 3 December.
