MTM Appointed for Next Phase of Speculative Development at Kingshill Park

Construction News Image

Knight Property Group has appointed Aberdeen-based MTM Construction as the principal contractor for the upcoming phase of speculative commercial development at Kingshill Park in Westhill.

The property development and investment firm is advancing plans for a new business pavilion named The Hub, situated on a prominent greenfield site within the development footprint. The project will deliver eight new-build commercial units totaling 18,800 sq ft.

The asset layout will comprise four sustainable units of 2,500 sq ft and four units of 2,200 sq ft. To accommodate specific occupier requirements, the layout offers the operational flexibility to merge individual units to establish larger contiguous floorplates of up to 10,000 sq ft. Each unit will integrate high-specification office accommodation alongside dedicated vehicle parking, engineered to suit light industrial and trade counter occupiers.

The 26-week construction programme is scheduled to commence on-site in June 2026, with practical completion projected by the end of the year.

Westhill remains a premier commercial destination in the region, positioned equidistant to the north, south, and centre of Aberdeen. The location benefits from transport infrastructure, including immediate access to the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route (AWPR) via the main Westhill to Aberdeen road network, alongside a well-established local amenity base.

Graham + Sibbald and Ryden have been appointed as joint letting agents for the scheme. For more information, please visit: THE HUB @ KINGSHILL PARK.

Dan Mitchell, Management Surveyor at Knight Property Group said: "Westhill continues to demonstrate strong appeal for businesses seeking high-quality accommodation in a well-connected and amenity-rich location. This latest speculative development reflects our confidence in the market and our commitment to delivering flexible, future-proof commercial space that meets occupier demand."

Doug Milne, Managing Director of MTM Construction added: "Knight Property Group has a proven track record of successfully delivering commercial developments across the region, and we are pleased to be moving forward and be appointed as the main contractor for this exciting next phase at Kingshill Park."

Paul Richardson, Partner at Ryden said: "The speculative development underlines Knight Property Group's continued confidence in the Westhill market and its long-standing commitment to delivering best-in-class commercial property solutions throughout the North-east."
