The Scottish Green Energy Supply Chain Awards last night (28 May) celebrated eight organisations and businesses whose work is driving Scotland's fast-growing renewable energy supply chain.
Organised by trade body Scottish Renewables, the Aberdeen event brought together leaders from across the sector to recognise the innovation, commitment and leadership underpinning Scotland's world-class supply chain. This year's recipients were chosen for exemplifying the vision, passion and innovation powering the country's clean energy future.
Among the headline winners were:
- The Energy Transition Skills Hub, which won the Green Energy Skills Award after supporting more than 1,000 people into employment in its first four years and delivering an outreach programme inspiring S1–S3 pupils to pursue future green energy careers.
- Peel Ports Clydeport, which secured the Sustainable Supplier Award for carbon emissions reporting backed by fleet decarbonisation, renewable energy investment and energy optimisation that together have cut emissions by 37% since 2020.
- ECO Hire, which took the Outstanding SME Award for solar-powered welfare cabins and drying rooms that reduce fuel use, emissions and water consumption, while providing inclusive, compliant facilities that support women in construction.
The winners were selected by eight judges from a shortlist of 34 finalists.
Susie Lind, Chair of Scottish Renewables, said: "The Scottish Green Energy Supply Chain Awards is about celebrating the businesses and organisations that are shaping our green energy future with progressive technologies and world-leading practices.
"From large contractors to mission-critical SMEs, there is a common thread that runs through these supply chain companies, and that is the ability to adapt and respond to challenges while implementing fresh initiatives that will inspire the workforce of tomorrow.
"Tonight's awards have been a brilliant opportunity for our industry to recognise the passion, dedication and hard work of the people and companies who are playing a crucial role in how Scotland's clean energy is produced and delivered.
"Congratulations to everyone shortlisted this year, and of course to the winners."
The awards showcase the talent and pioneering spirit across Scotland's energy sector. Scottish Renewables said these companies and individuals are central to unlocking the nation's energy future, and the organisation is proud to champion their achievements.
