Carbon Futures Expands UK Reach with New London Office

Carbon Futures has announced the opening of a new office in London, marking a major milestone in the firm's national expansion strategy. The new base is designed to support a growing portfolio of projects across the UK and will allow the consultancy to collaborate more closely with organisations in the capital and the South of England.

Loreana Padron has joined the team as Director to lead the London operation. An expert in sustainability and low-carbon project delivery, Padron is a specialist in climate-resilient design and retrofit. Her background in sustainable architecture and low-carbon strategy is expected to be instrumental in helping clients navigate the transition toward a sustainable built environment.

Andrew Money, Director at Carbon Futures, commented: "Expanding to the south of England is a significant milestone for Carbon Futures. It strengthens our ability to support organisations across the UK in creating transformative, sustainable communities. Loreana's expertise in architecture, retrofit and low-carbon design makes her an ideal leader for our London operation, and we are delighted to welcome her to the team."

• Retrofit strategy and decarbonisation pathways for existing buildings.

• Net zero carbon strategies for developments and portfolios.

• Whole-life carbon assessment and embodied carbon analysis.

• Building performance and operational energy optimisation.

• Building regulation compliance and planning support.

• Sustainability and ESG advice for developments.

• Climate resilience and adaptation strategies.

• Passivhaus, AECB, and UKNZCB Standards advice and design.

Loreana Padron said: "I am incredibly excited to be joining Carbon Futures and leading the launch of the London office. Carbon Futures has built a strong reputation for rigorous, practical sustainability advice, and I look forward to growing our presence in London and working with clients and collaborators who are committed to accelerating the transition to a low-carbon built environment."

Since its inception in 2015, the firm—which also operates offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh—has been involved in some of Scotland's most prominent residential and community developments. Notable projects include the regeneration of Granton Waterfront in Edinburgh and the design of the Ardrossan Community Campus.

The firm's work has earned recent industry acclaim, including the Innovation in Sustainable Design and Construction award at the 2025 Herald Property Awards for Scotland. Most recently, in February 2026, Carbon Futures received a Highly Commended award in the Net Zero Development of the Year category at the Scottish Property Awards.
