Exhibitors at ScotPlant 2026 have taken to social media to celebrate a highly successful weekend at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh. The long-running trade show has further cemented its status as a premier industry event, with many companies reporting significant deals secured on the stand and thousands of visitors attending to explore the latest construction innovations in the sunshine.
The feedback from the event has been overwhelmingly positive across the sector. Les Aitchison, director at Solway Machinery Sales, described ScotPlant 2026 as "without doubt the best show I've ever done," noting that multiple deals were signed on the day. Other immediate sales included a truck purchased by Northern Ireland-based Island Forklifts Ltd from the Mac's Truck Sales stand, and five new deals confirmed by HRN Group's Kubota construction sales manager, Andy Wilson.
Newcomers and regulars alike found success during the exhibition. LGMG reported sales to Braddan Plant Hire and McPherson Engineering, while SANY UK confirmed the sale of a mini-excavator and breaker to a first-time customer from Northern Scotland. Lloyd Ltd MD, George Lloyd, also highlighted the high volume of business conducted over the two days.
Beyond direct sales, the event served as a vital hub for networking and product demonstrations. CTE's Eddie George noted such high interest in the T230 Evo tracked spider that the unit remained in Scotland for post-show demos. Hird's Liam Buckey described it as his best show in five years, citing brilliant conversations with both new and existing customers.
The sense of industry collaboration was echoed by Gary Milligan of Suction Excavation, who commented: "What an incredible time at ScotPlant. It was fantastic to connect with so many new faces, meet potential customers, and have meaningful conversations across the weekend. Events like this really highlight the innovation and collaboration driving the plant industry forward."
The demand for high-quality equipment was further evidenced by Suresafe Protection, who saw over 1,000 visitors to their stand, and HIROX Attachments dealer John Walker, who reported a very busy stand with "generous customers buying our products."
Reflecting on the relationship-building aspect of the event, Buckhurst Plant Hire posted: "Our team loved showcasing our latest machinery, talking all things plant hire and connecting with the brilliant people who make this industry what it is. Events like ScotPlant remind us why we do what we do: strong relationships, quality kit, and a shared passion for the sectors we work in."
Fuel Proof also expressed their satisfaction with the event, stating: "That's a wrap on a fantastic ScotPlant 2026! A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by the Fuel Proof stand – we were certainly in high demand! It was a pleasure catching up with our longstanding customers, and meeting so many new faces interested in our fuel storage solutions. The energy at the show was incredible! A special shoutout to ScotPlant for hosting another stellar event. We're already looking forward to the next one!"
With many exhibitors, including Scot JCB, King Trailers, and Wm Rose, already expressing their anticipation for the next instalment, the industry focus now turns to following up on the vast number of enquiries generated. Dates for ScotPlant 2028 are expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
