Apex Training has officially launched its flexible green skills training programme at Scotland's National Retrofit Centre, located within the BE-ST Innovation Campus in Hamilton. Operated by The Verdancy Group—part of the not-for-profit organisation Fedcap—Apex Training provides industry-led courses delivered by active sector experts to support the UK's transition to a green economy.

The co-location at the BE-ST Campus allows learners to access industry-recognised credentials and hands-on experience within Scotland's national innovation centre for the built environment. The facility itself has undergone a full retrofit, serving as a practical model for the low-carbon construction and digital innovation practices taught on-site.

The curriculum features a variety of specialised courses, including:

• Pathways to Net Zero

• Award in Understanding Damp and Mould

• NOCN Level 2 and SCQF Award in Understanding Domestic Retrofit

• Introduction to Airtightness and Ventilation

• Award in Energy Efficiency Measures for Older and Traditional Buildings

The expansion follows the 2025 launch of an Apex Training Centre in Basingstoke. According to Fedcap, graduates from that site's solar installation programme have seen entry-level earnings approximately 20% higher than in comparable warehouse roles.
