Clark Contracts has been named as a finalist in two categories at the landmark 30th anniversary Construction News (CN) Awards. The Scottish-based contractor is in the running for Contractor of the Year (under £500m) and the Training Excellence award.
The nomination for Contractor of the Year recognises firms that demonstrate high standards in project delivery, innovation, and sustainability. The shortlisting reflects Clark Contracts' commitment to digital transformation, leadership in skills, and effective supply chain collaboration.
The second nomination, for Training Excellence, focuses on the impact of the Clark Contracts Academy. Established over 20 years ago, the Academy provides structured learning and development pathways designed to enhance skills and support career progression across the entire organisation.
Gordon Cunningham, Managing Director at Clark Contracts, said: "Being shortlisted for both Contractor of the Year and Training Excellence at such a landmark year for the CN Awards is a fantastic achievement and reflects the commitment and dedication of our entire team.
"These awards recognise the progress we continue to make in innovation, sustainability and high-quality project delivery, alongside our long-term investment in people through our Academy. We are proud of the culture we have built and the positive impact this has for our customers, our people and the wider industry."
The Construction News Awards is one of the industry's most prestigious events, bringing together contractors, consultants, and clients to celebrate the best in the UK construction sector. The winners will be announced at an official ceremony later this year.
