Plans to bring four additional affordable homes to Masterton in Dunfermline have moved forward after Fife Council's Cabinet Committee agreed to conclude legally binding agreements with Carmichael Homes Scotland 2 Limited.

The new homes form part of the Affordable Housing Programme being delivered with the Fife Housing Association Alliance (FHAA), aiming to expand housing options and help reduce the homelessness backlog across the region.

The four properties are expected to be financed through a grant from the Scottish Government's Affordable Housing Supply Programme alongside the Council's Housing Revenue Account (HRA) capital budget.

"These four new houses will make a meaningful contribution to addressing the housing emergency in Fife, providing much‑needed affordable housing in a highly sought‑after part of Dunfermline," said Councillor Judy Hamilton, Fife Council's Housing Spokesperson.

Carmichael Homes plans to begin on site in March 2026, with completion of the four units anticipated by November 2026.
