The Black Sheep Hotels Group has officially opened the doors to the Ambassador Hotel in Inverness, following a comprehensive £6 million investment and renovation project.
Located on Ardross Terrace, the boutique hotel occupies the site of the former Strathness House Hotel and offers views overlooking the River Ness.
The hotel is housed within two Victorian townhouses that date back to 1874. The extensive refurbishment has focused on maintaining the building's architectural integrity, including the original staircases and the external façade. Inside, the property has been transformed to feature fourteen themed rooms and signature suites, each drawing inspiration from 19th-century travel and the Highland landscape.
Situated in a prime riverside position, the Ambassador Hotel is within walking distance of several city landmarks, including St Andrew's Cathedral, Eden Court Theatre, and Inverness Castle.
The opening marks the latest expansion for the Black Sheep Hotels Group portfolio, bringing a new luxury boutique offering to the heart of the Highland capital.
