The Scottish construction sector has seen a significant boost with the official launch of CK Construction.
This new venture expands the CK Group's existing footprint and is designed to provide critical capacity for the delivery of residential projects and affordable housing across Scotland.
The business is headed by Managing Director Andrew Dallas, an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience in both the private and public sectors. Mr Dallas has a notable track record in the affordable housing sector, having played a pivotal role in the delivery of 1,000 homes during his previous tenure.
CK Construction will focus primarily on residential-led developments, while also offering services in planned maintenance, refurbishment, and groundworks for public sector partners. The company operates an integrated delivery model, leveraging the civil engineering heritage of CK Contracts, which was established in 1997. This internal expertise allows the firm to conduct in-house site and ground investigations, providing greater control over project timescales, risk management, and the handling of complex or contaminated sites.
Andrew Dallas, Managing Director of CK Construction, stated: "There is a clear and urgent need for increased delivery capacity in the market, particularly in affordable housing. CK Construction has been created to respond to that need by working in genuine partnership with clients, focusing on quality, transparency and long-term relationships rather than short-term growth."
He added: "I'm extremely proud to launch CK Construction into the Scottish market. This business has been built on strong foundations, supported by nearly 30 years of experience within the CK Group in the construction and civil engineering sector. That heritage gives us a real platform to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard."
Kris Kinnear, Managing Director of CK Contracts, welcomed the expansion: "The launch of CK Construction is a natural and exciting step for the group. Entering into business with Andrew was an easy decision, his experience in strategic housing delivery and project leadership is second to none. This new company strengthens our overall offer and gives clients even greater confidence in our ability to deliver."
Looking ahead, CK Construction aims to establish long-term partnerships with Scottish Registered Social Landlords and local authorities. The firm plans to grow sustainably by securing positions on key housing frameworks and building a portfolio based on reliability and repeat business.
