Kier has announced the launch of a dedicated Infrastructure division, a move designed to streamline its operations and accelerate the group's long-term growth objectives.

The newly formed entity merges the existing Transportation division with the Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks arms. By consolidating these sectors, Kier aims to create an integrated powerhouse capable of delivering major projects, maintenance, and repairs across the road, rail, aviation, water, energy, and environment markets. This restructuring is specifically positioned to capitalise on upcoming opportunities within the UK Government's 10-Year Infrastructure Strategy and various national asset renewal programmes.

Joe Incutti, formerly the Group Managing Director for Kier Transportation, has been appointed to lead Kier Infrastructure. His appointment coincides with several high-level changes to the Executive Committee. Tom Hinton joins as Chief Financial Officer, and Martin Staehr takes up the role of Group Managing Director for Construction this month.

The reshuffle also sees Louisa Finlay, currently Chief People Officer, transition into the role of Chief Operating Officer. In her new capacity, she will lead the group's digital transformation while maintaining oversight of sustainability and health, safety, and wellbeing. Additionally, James Askew has been appointed Group Commercial Director on a permanent basis, and Abi Cooke joins the group functions team as Chief of Staff to Chief Executive Stuart Togwell.

The announcement follows a period of strong contract wins for the group, including the main construction works for a new Government Hub in Darlington, two Southern Water contracts, and a new roads contract with Norfolk County Council. Kier also recently established a new Midlands hub in Birmingham, focusing on sustainable building practices.

The group is scheduled to provide a trading update on 20 January, with interim results expected on 3 March 2026.
