DM Hall Celebrates Professional Success Amidst Record Graduate Investment

DM Hall, the independent firm of Chartered Surveyors, has announced a new series of professional qualifications within its team, marking a successful period for its expanded training programme. The news follows a significant 128-year milestone for the firm, which saw its largest-ever graduate intake earlier this year.

In the latest round of RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) assessments, Colin Ross of the Glasgow Building Consultancy team, Harry Pattullo from Commercial Agency in Edinburgh, and Thomas Fergusson based in the Stirling Residential office, all successfully passed their Assessment of Professional Competence (APC). Their success means they are now fully qualified members of the RICS.

The firm also celebrated professional development milestones for Hannah Thompson (Inverurie), Kieran Reddichan (Dundee), and Kirsty Tibbetts (Dumfries), all of whom secured their AssocRICS qualifications this year.

These achievements coincide with a record-breaking 2025 for the firm, which welcomed 15 new graduates—the highest annual intake in decades. This growth in talent development has been spearheaded by Partner Ian Woods, who has taken on increased responsibility for recruitment and graduate training.

Ian Woods commented: "It has been an exceptional year for professional progression at DM Hall. Colin, Harry, Thomas, Hannah, Kieran and Kirsty have all demonstrated the discipline, dedication and professionalism that we strive to cultivate across our training programmes.

"Their qualifications are the culmination of significant effort, guided learning and hands-on experience. Coupled with our record graduate intake this year, these successes underscore our long-term commitment to developing the next generation of surveyors."

Managing Partner John McHugh highlighted the importance of these qualifications to the firm's future: "We are delighted to welcome our newly qualified colleagues into full professional membership. Their achievements reflect both their personal commitment and the strength of the structured training framework we have built within the firm.

"This has been a landmark year for investment in new talent, with a record number of graduates joining us and now a further group moving forward into full RICS membership.

"These young professionals will help shape the future direction of DM Hall as we continue to grow across all of the markets we operate in throughout Scotland and the wider UK."
