A new single online point of contact for global investors, InvestScotland, has been launched to showcase Scotland's largest infrastructure and green energy investment opportunities.
Announced today by Deputy First Minister Kate Forbes at the Investment Association conference in Edinburgh, the portal is designed to make it significantly easier for international capital to participate in major projects across the country.
Key projects currently highlighted on the portal include:
• Kishorn Port: One of Scotland's most strategically important deep-water facilities.
• Coire Glas: A major pumped storage hydro investment planned for the Great Glen.
The portal, hosted by Scottish Development International (SDI), is a crucial part of wider efforts to drive capital into sectors aligned with the Scottish Government's Green Industrial Strategy, which prioritizes wind energy, carbon capture, hydrogen, and clean energy-intensive industries.
Deputy First Minister Kate Forbes said: "InvestScotland opens the door for global investors to explore the exciting and expanding investment opportunities we have available. Scotland is already the most attractive UK location for foreign direct investment outside London. We are determined to build on that success as we drive the transformation of our economy."
Chris Cummings, CEO of the Investment Association, welcomed the launch, noting that the portal will make it "even easier for global investors to participate in Scotland's growth story."
Enquiries submitted through the InvestScotland portal will be handled primarily by SDI, with support from specialists at the Scottish Government, its enterprise agencies, and the Scottish National Investment Bank.
