Port of Aberdeen has launched an Invitation to Tender (ITT) for the construction of a new facility dedicated to Border Force UK operations at Aberdeen South Harbour.
The project has an estimated total value of £1,500,000 (excluding VAT) and is aimed at enhancing the port's capacity for freight examination and providing essential staff accommodation. The deadline for tender submissions is 12:00 pm on 9 January 2026.
The scope of works for the successful contractor includes the provision of:
• A single-storey office facility for Border Force staff accommodation.
• A dedicated freight examination shed.
• All associated external works and required service connections.
This new infrastructure is a crucial development for the expanded South Harbour, ensuring the necessary facilities are in place to support growing international freight volumes and meet regulatory requirements. The project underscores the continued investment in critical infrastructure at the Port of Aberdeen.
