Clark Contracts Announces Senior Leadership Promotions

Clark Contracts has strengthened its leadership team with the promotion of two long-serving employees to director roles, marking what the company describes as a significant step in its continued growth across the refurbishment and fit-out sectors.

The firm has appointed Gary Hunter as Operations Director of its Refurbishment Division and Marc Muir as Commercial Director of the Fit Out Division. Both joined the business in 2013 and have risen through a series of progressively senior roles.

Hunter began his career at Clark Contracts as a Contracts Supervisor before moving through positions including Contracts Manager, Senior Contracts Manager and Operations Manager. The company says he has been instrumental in driving operational excellence and delivering high-quality refurbishment projects, particularly within fast-paced, live working environments. His focus on team development and customer outcomes has also played a key role in securing repeat business.

Reflecting on his promotion, Hunter said: "Throughout my 13 years at Clark Contracts, I’ve been fortunate to work alongside exceptional people and customers who have shaped our success. As Operations Director, I'm committed to leading with integrity, driving continued growth, and strengthening the relationships that define our business."

Muir joined the company the same year as a Quantity Surveyor, later progressing to Senior Quantity Surveyor and then Commercial Manager. His tenure has been marked by a strong emphasis on commercial performance and client relationships within the Fit Out Division, alongside a reputation for professionalism and team leadership.

On his new role, Muir said: "It's a privilege to step into this role and continue working alongside such a dedicated and talented team. Our goal remains to deliver fit out projects that not only meet but exceed client expectations, creating spaces that inspire productivity and purpose."

Managing Director Gordon Cunningham said the promotions reflect the company's ongoing commitment to nurturing internal talent. "Both Gary and Marc have demonstrated exceptional leadership, professionalism, and dedication to our core values. Their promotions reflect our commitment to recognising and nurturing talent within the business as we continue to grow and deliver excellence across all divisions."
