SSEN Transmission is issuing a final call for applications to its £2 million regional community benefit fund ahead of the deadline at midday on Wednesday, 19 November.
The Perth-based company is urging eligible organisations in the north of Scotland to submit proposals for projects that can secure grants ranging from a minimum of £40,000 up to £500,000.
The fund, which opened for applications in August, is specifically designed to support initiatives that will:
• Aid skills development and employability.
• Support the culture of the region.
• Help alleviate fuel poverty.
Independent Chair of the fund, Peter Peacock, confirmed that there has been a high number of enquiries and encouraged all potential applicants to submit their forms on time. He noted that the fund is already delivering "transformational impact" in the region.
This latest round follows an initial allocation which saw £2 million successfully awarded to various organisations across the north of Scotland. Awards from this current funding round are expected to be announced in February 2026.
