Shawbrook has completed a multi-million-pound facility to support Carmichael Homes in delivering The Moorings, a 40-unit residential scheme in the commuter village of Reddingmuirhead, Falkirk.
The new development will transform a former brownfield industrial site on the banks of the Union Canal into a high-quality, energy-efficient neighbourhood. The scheme comprises a mix of three-bedroom terraced, semi-detached, and detached homes, with starting prices ranging between £245,000 and £335,000.
A strong emphasis has been placed on sustainability and quality:
• All homes are expected to achieve a minimum EPC rating of B.
• Properties will feature high-grade insulation, sustainable materials, and EV charging infrastructure.
• The development also includes landscaped green spaces and a focus on community wellbeing.
Douglas Spowart, Relationship Director at Shawbrook, highlighted the project's impact: "We're delighted to support The Moorings, which not only brings much-needed new homes to the area but also revitalises a key brownfield site—turning underused land into thriving, energy-efficient family homes."
Carmichael Homes approached Shawbrook for a tailored finance solution to support its multi-site operations, ensuring funding certainty throughout the build.
