John Mooney, Finance Director at Clark Contracts, is celebrating a major career milestone, having reached 30 years with the construction business after joining in 1995 as Financial Controller. He was appointed Finance Director in 2001.

Mr Mooney has been instrumental in the company's dramatic growth and development. Gordon Cunningham, Managing Director of Clark Contracts, confirmed the scale of this achievement: "Over the last 30 years, John has been an integral part of the management team, providing a solid financial foundation that has supported the growth of the business from a turnover of £2m in 1995, when he joined, to over £130m in 2025."

Mr Mooney recalled the company's expansion: "I remember when we achieved the milestone of delivering our first project over £1m to now delivering projects upwards of £30m." He also noted the growth in the workforce, from 27 employees when he joined to over 280 employees today.

Beyond finance, Mr Mooney has championed the company's Customers 1st initiative and corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities. Under his guidance, the Steering Group has raised over £50,000 for company-nominated charities and made significant contributions toward enhancing employee benefits.

He concluded: "Our people are at core of the company's success, and it has been fantastic to work alongside some incredibly talented people and observe the consistent progression and development of our employees."
