Clark Contracts Achieves Elite Platinum Status With The 5% Club

Clark Contracts has been awarded Platinum accredited membership as part of The 5% Club’s respected 2025–26 Employer Audit Scheme.

This elite recognition celebrates the company's long-standing dedication to nurturing talent through "earn and learn" opportunities, including Apprenticeships, Graduate Programmes, and Sponsored Student Placements.

The Platinum accolade places Clark Contracts among the UK’s leaders in workforce development and highlights its commitment to social mobility and inclusion within the construction sector.

Gordon Cunningham, Managing Director of Clark Contracts, commented on the achievement: "We are proud to have achieved Platinum accredited membership with The 5% Club, having been members since 2015. This recognition is a testament to our long-standing commitment to developing the next generation of talent through meaningful ‘earn and learn’ opportunities."

Since the introduction of its award-winning academy in 2006, Clark Contracts has supported over 350 apprentices and trainees entering the construction industry. This year, the firm is also celebrating its highest-ever number of employees within its Academy, with over 45 apprentices and trainees currently enrolled.

Currently, over 20% of Clark Contracts' workforce of over 280 employees are completing formal training programmes. Mr Cunningham stressed that investing in people not only strengthens the business but also plays a "vital role in addressing the significant skills shortage within the construction industry."

Mark Cameron OBE, Chief Executive at The 5% Club, praised the firm: "By achieving Platinum membership, Clark Contracts has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to investing in people — shaping the skills of tomorrow and driving lasting impact for both business and society."

The 5% Club is a movement of over 1,200 forward-thinking employers championing inclusive workplace learning, collectively supporting over 121,000 employees in earn and learn programmes. Clark Contracts is now counted among the club's elite Platinum members.
