Warmworks To Deliver Renewable Heat Project For Ark Housing Association In Moray

Warmworks, an organisation with 10 years of experience tackling fuel poverty across Scotland, has been appointed to lead a new project that will make homes warmer and more energy efficient for housing association tenants in Moray.

The Renewable Heat Project, developed with Ark Housing Association, will see 19 properties in Forres upgraded with a package of improvements designed to reduce fuel poverty and enhance home comfort.

Upgrades will include high heat retention heaters, solar PV panels, battery storage technology, hot water systems, and HeatSage technology – a retrofit solution that manages electric storage and water heaters to maximise efficiency.

Victoria Hennessy, Asset and Compliance Manager at Ark Housing Association, said: "We are very pleased to be working on this project with Warmworks to install high-quality renewable technologies in 19 of our properties in Forres. These improvements will have such a positive impact on the quality of life of our tenants, and we are excited to get started."

Paul McGhee, Warmworks' Managing Director, Local Delivery Division, added: "Warmworks has extensive experience of working closely with social landlords across Scotland to help them lift their tenants out of fuel poverty and decarbonise their housing stock.

"It is imperative that Scotland’s transition to net zero is open to everyone – particularly those that might need help and support to adapt to change – and we're incredibly proud to be working with Ark to deliver warmer, more energy efficient homes and lower fuel bills for their tenants."
