The latest round of grants from the Inch Cape Construction Fund has awarded almost £8,000 to initiatives supporting young people in East Lothian.
Four organisations received funding for a range of activities, including a school holiday lunch club for children from lower-income backgrounds, primary school visits to learn about Scottish seabirds, a solar stage puppet show, and an employability programme for students with special needs.
To date, a total of £26,220 has been awarded to 14 organisations this year, with £45,000 available for 2025.
Launched in February 2024, the fund supports community projects that address poverty and inequality, improve the environment, and promote sustainability for residents in the Prestonpans or Cockenzie & Port Seton community council areas.
The fund is managed by Foundation Scotland, with grants awarded approximately every three months. Applications are encouraged from groups and organisations benefiting residents of the nominated areas, and while they do not need to be a registered charity, they must meet standard eligibility criteria.
Interested groups can find more information about the fund and how to apply on the Foundation Scotland website.
