A leading provider of logistics, construction and maintenance services, The Malcolm Group, has purchased two of the first JCB 145XR tracked excavators in Scotland.
Supplied by Scot JCB, the 145XR reduced tailswing excavator is the latest addition to the JCB X Series range. It is designed to deliver the same performance as the conventional 140X but in a more compact design with a 27% shorter tailswing. The new machines join an extensive fleet of JCB equipment used for a variety of applications, including construction, quarrying, and recycling.
Andrew Malcolm, CEO of The Malcolm Group, praised the long-standing relationship with the supplier: "The relationship we’ve built with Scot JCB is a key factor as to why we continue to choose JCB machines. Their reliable back up and their understanding of our operational needs set JCB apart from the competition."
He also highlighted the performance of the new excavators. "The performance has been excellent. Our operators describe it as a very comfortable machine with plenty of power. The zero tailswing design is particularly valued for its ability to work in restricted areas safely," he added.
The 145XR's ultra-tight slew radius makes it an ideal machine for working within a highway carriageway or on confined urban job sites.
