Sharkey, the Edinburgh-based construction services provider, has been appointed by Pointadvice Ltd to undertake the construction of four luxury townhouses in a prime location in St Andrews.
The new three-storey residential development, replacing an existing 1960s dwelling, is situated immediately adjacent to the Swilken Burn, an iconic feature of the Old Course.
Skillfully designed as a staggered terrace to optimise the site, each of the 3,000 square feet properties will feature sleek dressed ashlar cladding, a standing seam zinc roof, full-height windows, and a fully glazed upper floor balcony. A double garage will be provided at ground level for each unit.
The project is anticipated to have a construction period of 70 weeks. The constrained nature of the site is expected to present several logistical challenges, though Sharkey expressed confidence that these will be addressed seamlessly by their experienced project and site management teams.
