Wood Experts Named On Women In Hydrogen 50 List

Wood, the global engineering and consulting company headquartered in Aberdeen, is celebrating the recognition of four of its leading female experts in the prestigious 2025 Hydrogen Economist Women in Hydrogen 50 list. This marks the fourth consecutive year that Wood's hydrogen professionals have been honoured for their global leadership and significant contributions to advancing the hydrogen market.

The recognised experts include:

• Dr. Vicky Au, Director of Strategic Advisory, Asia Pacific: Honoured in the Policy and Regulation category for her leadership in connecting industry, government, and research to shape policy and strategy development. Her contributions have influenced national hydrogen research, development, and demonstration programmes, and industry-research partnerships, including involvement in building Australia's first movable hydrogen generator.

• Suhail Diaz, Director of Future Energy: Recognised in the Industrial Use and Switching category for her leadership in developing low-carbon solutions for hard-to-abate sectors, including studies in the maritime industry. She also leads a Middle East & North Africa Hydrogen Working Group, fostering regional collaboration.

• Manisha Bhuskute, Carbon Advisory Consultant: Honoured as a Rising Star for her multidisciplinary approach to decarbonising the oil and gas sector, placing hydrogen at the core of a sustainable transformation. Her work bridges technical insight with policy and commercial viability to deliver practical, scalable hydrogen solutions for heavy industries.

Dan Carter, President of Technical Consulting and Decarbonisation at Wood, commented: "Realising the potential of hydrogen goes beyond strong policy and investment, it requires the world’s best technical minds who can advise, design and deliver across the hydrogen value chain. These accolades underline the strong talent within Wood, ensuring projects are technically and commercially viable and executed successfully at scale."

The Women in Hydrogen 50 list acknowledges women at all career stages for their contributions to the global hydrogen economy. Previous Wood honourees include Katherine Zimmerman, Audrey Hooper, Suzanne Ferguson, Nishadi Davis, Valentina Depetri, and Diana Jelenova.

With decades of experience, Wood is a global leader in hydrogen solutions, covering the entire value chain from production, transportation, and storage to its diverse applications. Wood's engineers have been supplying hydrogen production units based on the steam reforming process for over 60 years and continue to innovate to address the evolving challenges and opportunities within the growing global hydrogen market.
