The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) is holding an exclusive open day at its National Construction College (NCC) in Inchinnan, Scotland, on Friday, 1 August.

The event aims to provide Scottish construction employers with a unique opportunity to see how the NCC is developing the nation's future workforce.

The open day, scheduled from 08:30 to 10:30, will offer employers hands-on support to understand the various grants and funding available from CITB, designed to alleviate the financial burden associated with training or apprenticeships. The NCC will specifically highlight its capabilities in scaffolding apprenticeships, promoting the access sector and demonstrating its vital role in site safety and commercial training. Employers will gain insight into how the next generation is being prepared for Scotland's construction challenges, while also observing the NCC's comprehensive training capabilities.

The event is free to attend, though availability is limited, and registration is required. The NCC is located at 4 Inchinnan Business Park, Fountain Ave, Inchinnan, Renfrew PA4 9RQ.

During the 2024-25 period, CITB distributed over £71 million in apprenticeship grants to employers, supporting more than 30,000 learners and over 10,000 employers, primarily small and micro construction firms. CITB's vision for the National Construction College involves expanding its training offer, delivering high-quality teaching, and collaborating widely within the industry to maximise impact, backed by a £39m investment across its three sites (Erith, Bircham, and Inchinnan) over the next three years.
