Nominations Open For 2025 Young Builder Of The Year Award

Youthbuild UK has officially opened nominations for its prestigious 2025 Young Builder of the Year award.

The annual accolade celebrates young people who have demonstrated exceptional resilience, promise, and determination in the construction and built environment sectors, often despite facing significant personal challenges.

Organisations of all types, not just colleges, are encouraged to submit nominations. Youthbuild UK is particularly keen to recognise individuals who, much like previous finalists, have shown remarkable strength in overcoming adversity. Past examples include a young man who maintained commitment to his apprenticeship despite profound personal tragedy, including supporting his father after a serious car accident and later losing him to suicide, yet stood out for his professionalism and resilience. Another finalist became the sole carer for his disabled brother at a young age while battling his own health issues, grief, and housing instability.

If you know a young person whose story exemplifies strength, determination, and growth within the construction industry, Youthbuild UK urges you to nominate them.

Finalists for the 2025 award will receive recognition at a special event held at the House of Commons.

The deadline for submitting nominations is Friday, July 5, 2025.

To submit a nomination, please visit: www.ybuk.org/nominations

Youthbuild UK encourages everyone to help celebrate "the builders of tomorrow — the ones who’ve already proven what they’re made of."
