Barratt Homes West Scotland has raised £153,000 for Aberlour Children's Charity at its annual charity dinner, attended by 600 people at Glasgow's Hilton Hotel on 21 February.
The funds will support Aberlour, Scotland's largest solely children's charity, in its mission to tackle poverty and discrimination and assist disadvantaged children and families. The charity provides a range of services, including residential and foster care, addiction recovery support, assistance for disabled children, financial relief, and early intervention programs.
SallyAnn Kelly OBE, Chief Executive at Aberlour Children's Charity, expressed her gratitude: "This is a mind-blowing donation from Barratt Homes West Scotland and will truly make a difference to the families and children we help. The sum is so generous and we want to thank every single person who contributed. Our tailored services help every young person be the best they can be, and this money will give them the opportunity to overcome significant challenges in life. We couldn't have raised this cash without the help of the Barratt West Scotland team and we can't thank them enough."
Suzanne Craven, Finance Director and Head of Charity Committee at Barratt Homes West Scotland, said: "Aberlour Children's Charity is a fantastic organisation, helping thousands of families in need across Scotland. Operating for over 150 years, we are proud to support the team and hope our donation will make a difference to those who really need it. We'll continue to provide help where we can and want to thank everyone who played a part in raising this money, without you it wouldn't be possible."
Barratt Homes West Scotland is committed to contributing positively to the communities where it operates through charitable donations, work placements, and educational initiatives. The company's efforts aim to create a high-quality social, environmental, and economic impact.
