The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) has announced the launch of the 2025 Top 100 Most Influential Women in Construction Awards, marking the fourth year of the initiative.
The awards aim to recognise and celebrate the significant contributions of women across the construction industry, providing visibility and accessibility to female and non-binary role models. Nominations are open from Monday, March 3rd, until Friday, June 6th, with shortlists to be announced on Friday, July 4th.
The awards feature ten categories, each celebrating outstanding contributions to the sector, including leadership, impact, and influence. An independent judging panel, comprising previous winners and industry leaders, will assess nominees based on five criteria, including mentoring and leadership.
The categories are:
• Local Hero: Impact at a local or regional level.
• One to Watch: Rising stars in the early stages of their careers.
• Woman on the Tools: Excellence among tradeswomen.
• Most Influential Ally Group: Groups championing women in construction.
• Most Influential Contractor Leader: Leadership in the contracting sector.
• Most Influential Designer: Leadership in architecture, engineering, or design.
• Most Influential Client: Driving transformational change on the client side.
• Most Influential Educator in Construction: Shaping the next generation.
• Most Influential SME / Trade Leader: Leading small to medium enterprises.
"We want to foster an inclusive and welcoming space that recognises and celebrates the achievements of all women within the construction industry," said Deborah Madden, Executive Director, Nations Engagement at CITB. "That is exactly what the Top 100 Women awards is all about. We’re looking forward to bringing them back for the fourth year with some new categories, but with the same goal of celebrating and bringing together amazing women - and their allies - that are doing fantastic things across the industry."
All nominees are eligible for inclusion in the Top 100 Most Influential Women in Construction list. "Women" is defined inclusively, encompassing cisgender women, transgender women, and non-binary individuals.
The winners will be revealed at an awards ceremony on Thursday, September 18th, 2025, at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel, Manchester. Shortlisted nominees will receive a complimentary ticket to the event.
