Residents and businesses in Govan are being encouraged to provide feedback on the latest designs for a new walking, wheeling, and cycling network as part of the Connecting Greater Govan project.

The project aims to improve active travel options in the area, with plans including new cycleways, widened footpaths, upgraded crossings, and enhanced public realm.

"Our goal is to establish a City Network of active travel routes that connects communities across the city and provides greater opportunities to get about Glasgow safely," said Councillor Angus Millar, Convener for Transport and Climate at Glasgow City Council.

The consultation focuses on six new routes, including Langlands Road, Craigton Road, and Berryknowes Road. Detailed proposals and visualisations are available online, with feedback encouraged through an online survey or at a community drop-in event.

"We know almost half of people living in Glasgow want to walk, wheel and cycle more," said Carole Patrick, Portfolio Director at Sustrans. "This project offers people living and working in Govan the opportunity to do just that."

The Connecting Greater Govan project is part of the wider City Network, which aims to deliver around 270km of safe and accessible active travel routes across the city.
