Barratt Homes East Scotland has been contracted by West Lothian Council to build 33 new council homes at its Woodland Gait development in Livingston.
The development will include a mix of house types, comprising six 1-bedroom cottage flats, 12 2-bedroom cottage flats, four 2-bedroom houses, four 2-bedroom bungalows, and seven 3-bedroom houses.
All 33 properties will be equipped with zero direct emission heating systems, featuring air source heat pumps to enhance energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
The project is being funded by West Lothian Council, with support from Scottish Government grants to improve the energy efficiency of the new homes.
Construction on the development is set to commence this month, with completion anticipated in early 2026.
