CCG Group Unveils New Window and Door Manufacturing Facility

Construction News Image
CCG Group has officially opened a new 25,000 sq ft window and door manufacturing facility in Cambuslang.

The facility is part of a wider £6 million investment by CCG. It will fabricate a range of enhanced window and door sets and employ 60 skilled workers.

CCG has been manufacturing window and door products since 1995. In 2020, they introduced a new range of PVCu and composite products through a licensing agreement with REHAU UK.

These products are used in CCG's construction projects and housing improvement programmes across Scotland. The PVCu manufacturing line is now one of the most advanced in Scotland, producing 11,500 units per year.

Craig Smith, General Manager of CCG Manufacturing, emphasised the company's commitment to innovation: "This expansion underscores our dedication to investment and progress. With this facility, we are not only enhancing efficiency but also strengthening our ability to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions for our clients."

CCG recently made another upgrade to the factory floor with the introduction of a £300,000, state-of-the-art URBAN 8 Head horizontal welding machine, further optimising its capabilities and scope to increase output.

Stuart Glen, PVCu Factory Manager, praised the swift implementation: "In my 40 years in the industry, I have never seen such rapid progress in the production of PVCu window and door products. With the investment from our board, support from Scottish Enterprise, and our valued partner REHAU, we have elevated our product range and service standards.

"It is a proud moment for CCG and our dedicated team to unveil the factory and we look forward to a busy year ahead."

Hormoz Nouri, Area Sales Manager at REHAU, said: "Since signing our original licensing agreement with CCG back in 2020, I have watched their business grow into one of Scotland's foremost PVCu fabricators.

"Naturally, making the move to a purpose-built manufacturing facility is the next step, which will allow CCG to bolster their fabrication capabilities even further.

"This is a fantastic development for both CCG and REHAU, and I look forward to seeing where our relationship takes us next."
