North Ayrshire businesses are invited to attend a 'Meet the Buyer' event on December 11th at Ardrossan Civic Centre. The event, hosted by Morgan Sindall, will provide an opportunity to discuss potential tendering opportunities for the upcoming construction of the new Ardrossan Campus.
The new campus will offer a range of educational facilities, including early years, primary, and secondary schools, as well as additional support needs provision. It will also feature shared community facilities such as a library, learning hub, and various sports facilities.
The site is currently undergoing significant remediation work, with construction expected to begin next year.
Councillor Tony Gurney, Cabinet Member for Green Environment and Economy, said: "We are very much looking forward to working with Morgan Sindall to take this project to fruition. The Meet the Buyer event is a great opportunity to learn more and possibly find out how you could work with them to take the project forward.
"Projects of this scale take many partners with expertise in different areas, and we are delighted to be now working with another.
"We look forward to providing more details as matters progress over the coming weeks and months."
Stuart Parker, managing director for Morgan Sindall Construction in Scotland, said: "Everyone on the project team is committed to working with local people and companies - and this Meet The Buyer event is an important opportunity for us to engage with local subcontractors, suppliers, and social enterprises.
"The Ardrossan Campus that we are delivering for North Ayrshire Council and SCAPE Scotland is very much a flagship project - a highly energy-efficient building with a state of the art design.
"Our Supply Chain Manager will be on hand at the event to provide advice about how to become an approved supplier with Morgan Sindall, and we are looking forward to meeting and talking with local businesses."
