Argyll and Bute Council has welcomed the news that it will receive up to £20 million in capital funding from the UK Government to support local growth projects.
Council Leader, Councillor Jim Lynch, expressed his delight at the successful bid, stated: "We are committed to ensuring ongoing economic success for our communities, and today’s announcement will enable us to deliver projects that will provide a significant economic boost to Argyll and Bute and long-term benefits for years to come."
While the specific criteria for the funding have yet to be announced, the council said that it is looking forward to progressing important economic projects in the area.
