Midlothian Council has announced a final pre-consultation drop-in events on Wednesday, 21 August, to review the proposed redevelopment plans for Penicuik High School.
Taking place at Penicuik Leisure Centre, representatives from the project team will be available to discuss how they have used the feedback from the first pre-consultation drop-in June to inform a future planning application.
The proposed work includes altering and partially demolishing listed buildings, building new extensions and other improvements including landscaping, parking, roads and refuse storage.
This public consultation forms part of the statutory pre-application consultation process and comments should not be made to Midlothian Council Planning Department at this time. Any comments made in relation to the prospective application are not comments to the planning authority.
Public will be able to comment on a planning application
If a planning application is submitted to Midlothian Council as planning authority, normal neighbour notification and publicity will be undertaken at that time and local people will have the opportunity to make formal representations regarding the proposal then.
