The Kilmac Group has been appointed by Dundee City Council to deliver enhancement works to the Seven Arches Viaduct.
The contract is part of the LOT 3 Civils Framework, showcasing Kilmac's commitment to delivering high-quality projects.
The project includes a range of improvements, including vegetation removal, replacement of the bridge deck wearing course, repointing of the bridge, and the restoration of missing arch stones. Additionally, any adjacent trees posing a challenge to the structure will be expertly cut back.
Recognising the importance of public safety, comprehensive diversion plans will be implemented throughout the duration of the project. These measures are designed to minimise disruptions and ensure the well-being of the community.
The works are set to kick off in February 2024 with a completion date set for April 2024.
Welcoming the contract, Kilmac said: "At Kilmac, we are grateful to contribute to the preservation and improvement of such a vital piece of infrastructure. Our team is committed to delivering excellence, and we look forward to showcasing the transformation of the Seven Arches Viaduct over the course of this project."
