Aberdeen City Council has announced a public consultation on proposals to protect the Bridge of Dee from materials which wash away from the river bed during floods.
Taziker, the contractor which is carrying out the pre-construction services, is holding the consultation which is required as part of the pre-application process for marine licensing.
The scour protection work would be taking place on the four support columns on the north side of the bridge and on the riverbed several meters upstream and downstream of the structure. The detailed design is not completed yet.
A drop-in event will take place from 3pm to 7pm on Tuesday 11 July 2023 at Inchgarth Community Centre, Aboyne Place, Aberdeen, AB10 7DR. During the public consultation event, the project team will be available for questions and information on the proposed work.
