Cabinet Secretary for Net Zero, Energy and Transport, Michael Matheson MSP, has visited ScottishPower's Dealain House training centre in Cumbernauld as part of Scottish Apprenticeship Week.
The Minister was welcomed by Gillian Noble, Managing Director for ScottishPower Renewables Offshore, Development & Operations and Head of Technical Training David Bowie.
Dealain House hosts all of the technical training ScottishPower delivers in Scotland and is the base for many of our Scottish apprentice programme operations including Craft (jointing, fitting, overhead lines), Power Engineering, Logistics, Operations & Maintenance, Project Management and a variety of Graduate Apprenticeships.
Mr Matheson described ScottishPower's apprenticeship programmes as "critical" to supporting business, Scotland's economy and the march to net zero.
