BEAR Scotland Announces Major Recruitment Drive

BEAR Scotland has announced up to 100 new vacancies at all levels and departments of the business across Scotland.

The Transport Scotland maintenance and operation company is seeking talent from entry-level roadworkers and engineering apprentices to senior civil engineers.

The leading trunk road operating company has recently augmented its track record by winning the new long-term Transport Scotland Network Management Contract, up to 12 years, to manage and maintain the trunk roads in the North West of Scotland. This follows its successful roll out of the comparative contract in South East Scotland in August 2020.

These contracts have been developed by Transport Scotland to improve resilience and ensure consistent, predictable and reliable journeys for trunk road users. The new contracts also include a renewed focus on achievement net zero and climate change adaptation targets.

Iain Murray BEAR Scotland Managing Director said: "We believe that the people who work with us are our greatest asset and, in order for us to succeed, we make sure we retain and attract a talented, innovative and dedicated team. In return, we offer a range of benefits and the opportunity to develop and progress.
