Top Scottish main contractor, McGill has announced the appointment of Louise Gibson as their new Head of Finance, as it continues its journey as one of the country's fastest-growing companies.
Louise Gibson brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the commercial fitout and renewables specialist, and will support the continued success of the group.
McGill, which has experienced a period of significant and rapid growth since its acquisition by building services and decarbonisation group United Capital, is further strengthening its senior leadership team with this appointment, as it continues to win large-scale public sector and commercial contracts month on month.
Louise's appointment brings years of expertise to McGill as it prepares for a full pipeline of work into 2023 and beyond. Louise has amassed years of experience in accountancy, most recently in a construction-based accountancy firm, which she now brings to McGill, where she will lead the Finance Division.
McGill is one of the industry's leading public sector specialists, and is currently delivering large-scale decarbonisation contracts on behalf of more than 20 social landlords, and in over 40,000 homes right across the country.
McGill Chief Executive Officer Errol Lawrie commented: "We are absolutely delighted to have Louise on board at McGill, as we continue to strengthen our senior leadership team. Louise is experienced, capable, and talented, and her knowledge of the building services industry and hands-on approach will ready us as we seek to win even more large-scale public sector contracts throughout Scotland.
Louise added: "My background in building services meant that I knew McGill's longstanding reputation very well, and I'm so pleased to be joining the senior leadership team at one of Scotland's fastest-growing companies. It's exciting to be part of the United Capital group, which is ambitious and fast-paced, and I can't wait to get started."
