Transport Scotland's operating company, BEAR Scotland, is set to resurface a section of the eastbound carriageway of the M8 at Junction 4, with work taking place tonight, Friday 20 May.
For the safety of workers and road users, the eastbound carriageway of the M8 will be closed from Junction 4a to Junction 4 between 20:30 and 06:00 on this nights. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland's South East Network Manager, said: "These surfacing improvements will improve ride quality and safety for motorists using these sections of the M8.
"Carriageway closures are essential for safety, however we've planned the works to take place overnight to minimise any disruption. We thank motorists in advance for their patience."
Consultation has been carried out with emergency services and relevant stakeholders to share information about the project in advance.
