Calmax Construction has completed work on four new homes at Cnoc a Charnain, Shawbost, Isle of Lewis.
Iain Macmillan, Chair of Hebridean Housing Partnership (HHP), officially opened the development on 7 October 2021.
HHP's Chair, Iain Macmillan said: "It's wonderful to see the official opening of this new development at Cnoc a Charnain. The completion of these properties has provided new homes for 4 families in an excellent location in Shawbost and I wish the new tenants well in their new homes. This new development, built by contractors Calmax, continues the success of HHP in delivering on Comhairle nan Eilean Siar’s Housing Strategy with the assistance of funding from Scottish Government."
Kenny John MacLeod, Chair of Communities and Housing Committee added: "Once again, we are pleased to see strong partnership working at the heart of housing investment in our rural communities. In line with our Local Housing Strategy, the Comhairle is committed to ensuring that new, affordable homes are built throughout the islands and it is very rewarding to see another four quality homes completed."
