Halliday Fraser Munro (HFM) has announced that the final phase of the Donside Urban Village regeneration project has got underway on behalf of their client, Sanctuary Scotland Housing Association.

Donside Urban Village is an ambitious project to regenerate a former paper mill site to provide 267 new homes, 146 of which were available for social rent while 121 were private for sale.

This phase consists of 61 affordable units within three apartment blocks nestled adjacent to the banks of the River Dee. The vision for the proposal is to maintain and enhance the design principles set out in the original completed phases of the village with its massing to mimic the adjacent blocks and uses complementary materials to sit comfortably within its surroundings. These apartment blocks have been arranged to complete the main square within the village and to enhance its placemaking.

This final phase of the masterplan is earmarked for completion towards the end of 2022.
